I believe the John C who married Sarah Simpson was a different John C. John C., son of Noah was John Calvin Calhoun. Not only is this born out by family knowledge, but John Calvin had a second family in Lafayette County, FL. I am a descendant of John Calvin Calhoun and second wife Sarah Ann Elizabeth Hobbs who had three sons, Thomas, Jefferson and Noah. Jeff was my G Grandfather. A male descendant of John Calvin and Pamelia’s son John Pinckney and I have closely matched Y-111 DNA that is highly consistent with our 3rd half cousin relationship. Noah and/or John Calvin were carriers of the Famial Tremor gene which is prevalent in both of John Calvin’s families. My Father, myself, my children as well as another 3rd cousin I know on second family have tremor. Dr. Jankovic of Baylor School of Medicine has studied the Tremor in the first family, “Santa Rosa” Calhoun’s. Here is some additional info on Noah that someone might use to help. Noah was in the Georgia Militia in Burke County Georgia in 1790. He served with Darby, John, and Robert Calhoun/Cahoon/Cohoon. Later he was in Georgia Land Lottery along with Darby, Rowland, and Deborah Calhoun. Noah was unsuccessful but did get a 640 acre land grant in East Escambia/Santa Rosa County Florida. He, his wife, Pamelia, and others are buried there in the Calhoun Cemetery. More DNA. My third half cousin from first family and I from second have close Y DNA connections to descendants of Burrell R Calhoun, James Calhoun, and other Calhoun’s from Montgomery County, Georgia along with The Darleys who appear to be descendants Of James I. Calhoun and Penelope Darley though never married. There is also circumstantial evidence that some of Noah’s family married Whites and Sapp’s from Georgia. Hannah Sapp may be Noah’s daughter. I have references for this information. Any help with Noah would be appreciated.
