Hi, tried to find you a quick answer but no luck.   John is a very traditional name in Clan Lyon which led on to the Bowes-Lyon family.   Any idea which century we are talking about?    Do you have any other information on him and his immediate family to help?

My three times great grandfather, John Duncan Lyon ( b. 1830 ) came to America about 1851 from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. On his death certificate his father is named as John Malcolm Lyon, also born in Scotland. Very close to the Glamis castle of the Lyon family where Queen Elizabeth (Bowes-Lyon) was raised, I am searching for that same relation due to family lore and rumor for decades. Any information would be helpful since I've found that middle names of a lot of John Lyons are not given in records I've found. Thank you!
I bet Ive got some evidence on this question
