crying I put a profile up for starters but there's so MANY intermarried lines and I've not finished yet with all those who should be profiled ... I'm tuckered out ... 18 profile in 24 hours with all the sources I could locate for each one during that time ... GAH.!!

It's those pesky Medlock women, daus of Thomas, one by  his 1st wife and one by his 4th wife and then lines crossing and recrossing with kissing cousins (in varying degrees) getting married ... lack of a sufficiently large pool of potentials and proximity played a part no doubt ... "Well, at least we know who their family is."

And when you follow the grooms back into time you find out their parents and grandparents (I think) were also cousins.

ANYWAY, I'm making familial connections "all over the place"

All I can say is: Galloway, Owen, McCall. Sound familiar? I, too, am lost in a morass of relationships among these families. I feel for you, Susan.

Where are your Medlocks from? Mine from Huntingdonshire and Bedfordshire.

Oh, Cathy, I don't know more about them other than Thomas MEDLOCK-552 was born in SC c1808 and died in TX c1880, having lived in Indiana Territory (not to be confused with Indian Terr (late Oklahoma)  Part of Indiana Terr became Illinois.  He also lived in AR ... married 4x

WHERE his parents or grandparents came from, or whether they were also born in the colonies, I don't know
Must be a distant branch of the family, but I don't know that this is a very common name! Hope to cross branches with you some time in the future!
