The Sweetman Name Study is looking for volunteers. You can read about the goals and how you can both help and benefit from participating in the study described here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Sweetman_Name_Study
This is a world wide study so all Sweetman researchers are encouraged to use categories to research Sweetman populations, migrations, Sweetman DNA Groups, Sweetman Brick Walls. This study uses location groups such as Australia, England, Ireland & Northern Ireland, Wales, and all states in United States. I am hoping to recruit researchers from all areas where the Sweetman lineage has lived to help with researching within their area.  If willing, please contact me!

Hi, my 6th great grandfather was George Sweetman  baptised 1711 in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset. He was in James Cochranes regiment (48th Foot  5th marines) There were then 3 generations (possibly more) living in Wimborne before my 4x great grandmother Anna married William Gould. I have only just got involved with wiki tree but if I can help please let me know. Good Luck

I have an Elizabeth Swetman b 1807 in Virginia, dau of William Swetman and Martha Thompson.  Would these folks with this spelling be included in your study?  (I don't have their profiles created yet.)

Yes Janie, Swetman and Sweteman are part of the Sweetman Surname. In fact, there were Swetman's who succeeded the de Erley family as the Baron's of Erley in Ireland in in the 15th century. So let's include them. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Sweetman_Name_Study

Hi. I descend from Ellen Sweetman, married to Denis Prendergast of Cork. They both migrated to Spain around 1780 and settled there.
