mtDNA question and ancestral profiles

I have a question for someone much more skilled in genetic genealogy than I will ever be. I had my mtDNA tested through FTDNA about 2 years ago. I just discovered the following URL in my profile:

https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Baldwin-3428/899

My question has to do with the ancestral profiles listed below this mtDNA information for Tuttle-70; Clark-2048 and Fordham-97. Does my applicable mtDNA indicate that I am genetically connected to these profiles? If so, can you tell me how? And, if so, can this DNA information be added to these three profiles? I am not sure how to do this. Please contact me with any feedback and if you are able to assist me. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Carol

It lists my applicable mtDNA tests below:

When you added your own mtDNA test information to WikiTree you added all of that information. If you don't know what it means, then you may want to remove it.

To remove it, click on "DNA Test Information" from the drop-down list under "Add" at the top right of your profile. To the right of your mtDNA test information, click on the button labeled "Edit or enter more details". Remove the information in the box, then click on the "Save Details" button.

WikiTree automatically enters information about your mtDNA test on all of the profiles in your direct maternal line, which goes as far as Mary Agnes Surdyk-17. Because Tuttle-70, Clark-2048, and Fordham-97 are not in your direct maternal line, there is no reason that your mtDNA test information should be displayed on them.

Thank you Kay and Rob. I know what the mtDNA means, but did not know why Tuttle, Clark, Fordham were displayed with that information. I was confused because I know they are not in my direct maternal line. Regards, Carol (Baldwin-3428)

Hi Carol,

It looks to me like all that happened is you accidentally pasted those profiles into the comments section of your mtDNA info. You can clear the comments section by following the instructions in Kay's post.
