Andrew, Thank you for starting this name study. I'm finding many cousins here.

All  the BABCOCKs on my watchlist have been added.

Made a good start to finishing (if one can ever finish any profile) my first profile, Remember (Babcock) Stewart. I would like to find a record for her death between 12 May 1756 and 1762. Location was probably in Stonington, Connecticut.

Thank you for your contributions to Babcock Name Study. Did your message get addressed
My message wasn't a question, just that I was adding the category to some profiles for you. I noticed you fixed them so I know you saw them.
The first entries were not made to the state/county level cause I was slow getting those categories set up. I'm in process of updating them all just to make sure everything is working okay.
I figured that. No problem. I have my own study and am helping with the Wheeler One Name Study, plus my Stonington One Place Study, so I totally understand.

Just a heads-up:

I thought the name rang a bell...

A couple of years ago, a Babcock/Goodman fraud was discovered:

Thank you

I see the names in this category. Is it ok to add this as a category to the Study or is that improper format or is there a better way to add this info to the main page?
Personally, I wouldn't add it as a category to the ONS (it may clutter up the Frauds and Fabrications page).
But you could always put a *link* to the Goodman Genealogy Fabrication page and write a little something about what it's all about.

Thank you, Ross

We added a note with links: "Watch out for bad sources: ... "

That should get everyone's attention.
