Is there a way to find Halogroup matches of mtDNA testers without scrolling through the 6000 plus test taker list?

Try this Google search:  site:wikitree.com "haplogroup h86"

I get 6 results, not a lot, but it's something.

Peter's answer showed how unreliable Google searches can be!   :(

My simple search finds 6 entries, Peter's custom search finds 29 (I think), and after examining them, they ALL are the result of the mtDNA test by Benoît Bousquet!  (Neither my or Peter's search results include Benoît Bousquet!)  So the best search for H86 is to look at Benoît's DNA widget for his mtDNA test.  *This* one shows almost a thousand WikiTree profiles with Benoît's mtDNA kit linked!!!  That's 6 vs. 29 vs. 1000!

I have not found any H86 apart from Benoît's kit.

I tried my search on DuckDuckGo, but it doesn't provide a count.  It displays a page of 10 plus a "More results" button, which repeatedly pressed provides a whole lot more.  It could very well show all 1000 results, if you click it enough times.

I tried on Bing, said 28,200 results, but on the first page was a "haplogroup H82" and on the second page was one with just "haplogroup", so I don't trust that at all!  Probably a lot of profiles with the word "haplogroup".

I then tried Yahoo, got "28,800 results", so equally bad.

Your search came up with 29, I think, a lot more than mine, but not even close to the total number.  Any thoughts on the wide discrepancies?

Also, I was not aware of your custom search capabilities, can you provide a pointer to help on how to construct that search?

To do that search, click on the Find tab in the top right of a profile page.

In the drop down menu click on Search.

Go to the bottom of the search page and enter "haplogroup H86" with quotation marks in the field for Search for Any Text.   Click the GO button and on the results page, copy the url.

Hi there.  It has been nearly 2 years since you asked this question so I don't know if you will see this, but my Haplogroup is H86.  I recently tested with FamilyTreeDNA and just did a google search about Haplogroup H86 and found your post.  I do not have any recent maternal ancestors in common with any of my matches on FamilyTreeDNA, so I was looking to see what other information and possible matches might be out there.  I don't yet understand much about mtDNA but I am trying to learn.
