German location and place names and Categorization

Place names for German places have been categorized in German, and English discouraged. Because a German portal is being created to encourage German speaking members and collaboration and English speakers with German Roots are usually not at all familiar with German language, is it possible to have both English and German categories for Germany places and locations?

Can the categorization team please help with assisting any guidance on category standards please?

Is categorization of German Roots related things easy or difficult to navigate for people?

I personally find it very hard at the moment. There is too much information on category pages, and too many person profiles on categories for the large states.

Kylie, would you like to join the Categorization project as a liaison to German Roots?

Yes please
KYLIE, I'll try to stay alert to your work with categories and German Roots. I'm advancing slowly in my efforts to become more knowledgeable. My father had a German mother (w/ a known name) and a probably Jewish-German father (my inference) who was Unnamed. That situation feels such a heavy burden now. I'm 79 and in the short-run (5+ years), I could die. I want my sons to know more about this man. My German GM (deceased) was mute about her mate, my father's father. I'm at Hilse-40.
