Father has passed away, but profile is private, how do I update his status?

My father Patton McHenry Jr, passed away last year.  He was really big into genealogy and the ability for others to find information for history purposes after they had passed.  I believe he would want his information searchable.

Have you tried sending a message to the profile manager?  The manager would be able to enter the death date and change the privacy setting.

Looks like you have a second profile for your father: McHenry-998

Do you have access to your father's profile McHenry-159 (are you a member of his "Trusted List")? If so, you should merge them together.

If you do not have immediate access, then as Vincent has suggested, you'll need to contact info@wikitree.com directly for assistance.
