Please see the note I received from the f-a-g Photographer regarding the Weisner Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.  In California the family cemeteries are protected and fenced off even if someone else now owns them.  Is this not the case in Colorado?  Actually the note is on the Weisner Cemetery

Here is an article about a headstone returned to Weisner Cemetery and the owner of that land.

I found this website Saving Graves It may provide some helpful information for you. It is sad that, even though the cemetery is on private property, the landowners have not prevented desecration of the area. Not sure if it's legal or illegal, but I definitely feel it is not ethical to allow the destruction. I don't feel they are morally or financially obligated to maintain the cemetery, but they could protect it in some way by not allowing it to be a dumpsite or place where four-wheelers are ridden.

Thank you, Nelda.... I filled in an application and it is on it's way.  I am also going to have our local DAR Chapter look into this cemetery, maybe cc: the State Regent..  This is horrible and the area needs to be fenced off.......BTW there are photos of 2 of the headstones, taken in like 2013  laying down and covered with grass.and broken in half.  another photo looks like it was taken in a room, so maybe it was removed to be protected??? But I am on this!
