Can you help connect a Rhode Island Governor?

Question

Recently, I participated in the Connection effort put together by SJ Baty at "Can you help connect a Delaware Governor?"  There, we connected 47 unconnected profiles to the Wikitree main tree.

After that effort, I set up the "Can you help connect a Texas Governor?"  In just 4 days, we connected all the unconnected Governors.

As I was exploring my relatives who have profiles on Wikitree, I came across Emery San Souci, the 53rd Governor of the state of Rhode Island.  It turns out he is a 4th cousin of mine.

Therefore, it is time to do a "Can you help connect a Rhode Island Governor?" connection effort.

Below, I have listed all of the unconnected Rhode Island Governors.  You can tell if someone is connected by browsing to the bottom of the profile.  If there is a statement such as "Emery J. is  "23 degrees from Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland on our single family tree." then the profile is connected.  If there is no such statement, the profile is unconnected.

As you add profiles for the connection, please be sure to provide sources and additional biographical text for the relevant connection.

When you think the connection has been made, answer the question with a Governor number and your name.  I will mark the Governor as Pending, until the Wikitree Connection generator can confirm the link and to add the text to the profile, usually performed every night.

I've been waiting to see more state governor lists, but if you're looking for new lists to create, one that I'd like to see is Archivists of the United States. I think it behooves us to give credit to archivists, since our work depends so heavily on their work. In fact, I'm planning to put up a list of National Chief Archivists from around the world to connect (once I find more of them). I've already added a profile for the most recently deceased Archivist of the United States, but if somebody wants to take on listing the whole series and then putting up a list to connect, I think that would be very appropriate.

At long last, Dennis Roberts (#63) is connected. It only took two months to find a path that would connect but it is done and will show up tomorrow. Yeah!

I'm just adding immediate family to William Smith Flynn. His grandparents are Irish (the paternal at least), but there is quite a bunch of names written on the gravestone which will give us some hints to follow up.

I added the grandparents and 2 great grandfathers of William S. Flynn. There are different Censuses in the sources which give a lead to more profiles if anyone wants to continue.

Flynn is connected now. (Not by me.) That moves this challenge up to second place in terms of percent complete, and tied for third place in terms of people still to connect.

I am adding the parents of Gov James Henry Higgins, along with what primary sources I can find.  The statement that both were from Ireland and died young is false.  His mother states she was born in NY, ca 1855, with an English father and an Irish mother.  I suspect they and the father's people were all displaced by the famine.
