Google+ to be discontinued ... [closed]

Question

Google+ is going to be discontinued as social platform as from 7 March 2019.

It has already been made clear that Google+ is not the same as Google Groups which projects use to communicate with … (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/698661/finally-google-dumping-google-can-use-facebook-groups-please).

Yet I find this script on our {{Dutch Cape Colony}} project home page here: :# Join our [https://plus.google.com/communities/108932322173062600136/members?hl=en Google+ discussion group]. Can I remove this sentence and link?

That link appears to point to a Google+ Community. Is that community still being used by the project?

Not that I know of. I only used Google+ right in the beginning. I imagine it is safe to remove that link / message now …?
