Can I edit the biography of Deacon William Fiske?

Hello all,

I've recently been going through the category of Long Biographies in order to be able to help with the biography writing. I came across William, and wrote a full biography for him in my laptop's notepad, when I realised that he is project protected (I'm assuming by the Witch Trials project). I approached the Witch Trials project coordinator for permission to edit the page, but I have received no response and he has not been active for the last couple of weeks, so I wanted to discuss this with members of the project before just simply going ahead and pasting the biography in.

The Witch_Trials project is a sub-project of the Black Sheep Project. You can read there Project page on knowing best how to contact the group for participation in the project and how best to continue.

I am not looking to participate in the project. I am working on cleaning up biographies, and Williams was one I happened to work on. Should I simply contact the Black Sheep leaders?

Just an observation, but the {{LongProfiles}} template seems to be an indication (and request) that help is needed with the Biography.

I think the easiest thing to do (for all involved) is to just reach out to the managing Project and let them know that you would like to work on cleaning up the Biography. Since you have already done that, I would suggest that this G2G notice serve as a "final notice" before you make edits. Since we have change histories, we can always get back to where the profile was before without loss of information.

That is what I tried to do. I contacted the project coordinator for the witch trials because I wasn't sure whether to contact the witch trials or the Black Sheep, and I got no response, which is why I'm here now.

Aha! No problem. Because I've got the entire biography written in a notepad already, if someone wants to change it back they'll be able to do it easily.
