Looking for Traces of Joan W Causer

I am looking for any traces on Joan W Causer (aside from her birth - "England and Wales Birth Registration Index 1837-2008" Database with images. familysearch.com  Vol/Page: 2A/1811 citing General Register Office, Southport, England).  She may still be living - in her eighties.  No trace of marriage or electoral activity.

Sister of Ida May (late d.1999) and Kathleen Jane (late d. 2010)

Did Ida M Causer marry Stuart F West in 1956 at Bridge, Kent, England? Was she born in 1933 at Dover, Kent, England?

Did Kathleen Jane, the other sister of Joan marry John Harris at Canterbury, Kent, England in 1957? Was she born at Bridge, Kent, England in 1932 and was her mother's maiden name, Field?

Joan? Are you sure it isn't John?

Births Jun 1932

Causer Kathleen J Field Bridge 2a 1718

Births Jun 1933

Causer Ida M Field Dover 2a 1823

Births Sep 1936

CAUSER John W Field Bridge 2a 1811

You may not have noticed that on the 1939 census the Causers are living next-door to a Field family who are almost certainly relatives.

That's is abundantly possible!
Yes, Archibald Field is Frances Field's Father - who married William Edwin Causer, and it is their daughter/son Joan/John

In the 1939 census Ida May is West (Causer) so is it possible Joan is a West also?

Yes, I did notice that and since she was only 6 years at the time, she could not have been say betrothed.  Yet, in 1956 Ida appears to have married Stuart Forester West.

If one searches for all Causers born with Maiden name of mother Field three girls pop up in Kent - Kathleen 1932; Ida 1933; and Joan 1936;  Ida is with William and Frances (nee Field) on the 1939 Register.  Is it possible that the word West was endorsed with Ida's second name after the census.  Very odd.

Andrew
Yes odd, unless there was some sort of ‘adoption ‘ going on.
The 1939 register was used as a reference for a long time after it was made. When somebody got married later, the record was updated - you will see the new married name added in red sometimes.
Thanks Joe, learning all the time here.

Have you tried variant spellings of Causer? Sometimes names get mistyped, mistranscribed or just spelled wrongly. Although you'd think there's not so much of the latter in the 20th century, I myself have been recorded as Crossier and Casusier on lists in the not so distant past.

Also, bear in mind the possibility she may have gone by her middle name.

I have gone the John William Causer route:  Causer-232 and am able to trace down to living family.
