An old question from 2015 got me researching and I found a very nice website by Gary Still, who sadly passed away this past April.  The Ancester Index has a wealth of research, images and sources.  Mr. Still deserves hearty recognition for his compilation.

This website is devoted to descendants of early explorers, fur traders and settlers who first inhabited the great Northwest Territory or Rupert’s Land, and more particularly the region of the Red River of the North.

Oh that is sad, did not know Gary had passed.  Have used that site and it is very nice but not all accurate, have come across a few mistakes there - follow up with primary sources whenever possible.
