The NEHGS is hosting an Online training "Researching Upstate New York."

It will be held on Saturday, October 20, noon to 6pm EDT. Information will include searching early migrations, vital records, land, probate, etc. You know...all of the things we look for to give Wikitree profiles their integrity as best possible. There is a $125 cost. I am not in any way working for the NEHGS, although I am a member. Just want to let our Wikitreers aware of this opportunity, especially if they do upstate New York searches.

Interesting. I have spent the past several days in the non indexed FamilySearch images of New York land and probate records. Fortunately quite a few have an index image. Nonetheless there are still gaps.

I wish I had the money for this right now, as someone who has a York line that mysteriously appear in Upstate New York in the late 1600s early 1700s. If anyone has nothing better to do, take a look at Daniel York.
