Searching for info on Stella Jane Buchanan, wife of Cornelius, mother of Calvin.

Question

I am searching for any maiden name information, for a Stella Jane Buchanan, 1891-1951. She was married to my paternal great-grandfather Cornelius R Buchanan, and mother to my grandfather, Calvin F Buchanan. Calvin was born in November 1915. Stella was born in either Indiana or Kansas, I have found a reference to both, unclear of truth. Cornelius was born in Indiana, to Luke and Lucinda (Corson) Buchanan. If anyone knows of this Stella Jane, please message or post. I would be greatly appreciative for this information. Thank you!

If she born or married in Kansas.Kansas did not start reporting records till

after 1911.Even after then it was erratic

 That's probably around the time she would have married.. I am inclined to believe she was born in Indiana, a census record I found shows both her parents born in Illinois, and my 2xgfather was in Indiana. Im just hoping someone knows or has records from there. Cornelius was born in 1895, and HIS parents were there until at least 1905.

Thank you. Yes I am aware of Cornelius family, going and staying in Kansas. Cornelius and Stella came to OkC in the 40s, but are buried in Kansas with his family. I was searching for Stellas maiden name. Do you know if her maiden name is included in that tree?

No her maiden name is not listed.I did see a Cornelious marriage in

Indiana.But her name was different.Not Stella.

I worked on those profiles Heather. Unfortunately I couldn't find her marriage record or maiden name. I'm sure, after looking at her records, that she was born in Kansas. There are so many Stella's that married in Kansas that I can't determine if one of them is her. Hopefully someone will come along and use the current information to locate that maiden name for you!

Oh my goodness - as soon as I typed that I found her obituary!!! Her maiden name was Williams and her brother's name was Leonard Williams. Congratulations! You have a new surname!
