Info on parents of Wallace McLeod, born 1850 Canada, Died April 17 1922 S. Dakota

Im tryig to find info on parents, and wife of Wallace McLeod, born June 28 1850, in nissori, Brock/London Canada ( I think thats Ontario). Died April 17 1922 in Minnehaha S. Dakota. Wife Flora B. McLeod (Dougherty ?). They are my great, great grandparents!!! Anything You Know! Melissa Abigail McLeod daughter.

A search on Ancestry shows a Wallace McLeod, age 2 living with John McLeod, age 38 (a farmer) in Ontario.  It lists John's wife as Destamery (according to the transcription but it may be Destamony, the handwriting is unclear) who is age 33.  Here is the source information:

Here is an Interesting find. Wallace McLeod & Florence B. son Walter, Daughters

Ada age 5, Ida, age 5, Melissa age 4, and John age 65 who was born New Brunswick. This could be his father.

This in Cerro Gordo,Falls, Iowa.

If he Immigrated in 1867,did he go too Iowa first,What happened to the girls by

1900 Census in South Dakota. The odds for this being a different family are great.

Wallace and Florence ( Flora ) are there.

If you look at 1880 Iowa Census,all cildren were born in Michigan,If you

look at 1870 Census in Michigan ,children,mother,father ,and granfather all

there.Plus Wallace has 2 brothers an a sister named Desdemony.Desdemony

probably named after her grandmother, Desdemony,who was married too

John McLeod.So there is your family,The happy wonderers,Michigan too Iowa

then South Dakota.Whew??? By the way,John McLeod born in New Brunswick.
