Permission Denied Deleted My Data on a New Profile when nothing is wrong?

I had been editing a new profile (see below) for the last 30 minutes or so and finally decided that I needed to save it. I got a permission denied status that did not really tell me what was wrong with the save even after clicking on the link to help: data validation. I clicked save anyway then was taken to the login screen. I logged back in and discovered to my horror that all my progress after the initial save of the creation of the profile was gone.

Is there anyway to recover the data? I barely have time to do this and I do not need to spend that time redoing things when there is no reason that I can think of for this happening. I use Chrome if that helps, by the way.

Unfortunately, that data was only in your local browser memory.

You had the window open for too long and the browser session timed out, causing you to lose any unsaved data.

When you login, if you tick the "remember me" box (or whatever its called), you won't get logged out with long browsing sessions -- however, you may still be at risk for losing unsaved data if the session is really long.

This is a feature of your browser, and has nothing to do with WikiTree.

Like any computer software, periodically saving your work is a good idea.
Like every minute.

Not every minute, Pip. You can usually get away with 61 seconds.smiley
