In 1878, in Knox County, Ohio, William Pesano married Alice Parker. (Marriage record affidavit). He swore that he was over the age of 21.
They had two children, Bessie and Nellie. In the 1880 census, Alice and the children were living with Alice's mother, Eliza. I don't have access to images of the census, but the index indicates that William was not living with them.
The census records for the girls say that he was born in Italy.
There is a William Pesano living in Fort Wayne, Indiana during the 1880 census. (Census index record) He was born in Italy in 1856. This could be a lead?
William must have died or been assumed dead by Alice before 1889, when she married Abraham English.
Does anyone have some good resources for Italian immigration to the United States, or for Ohio death records?
