How to change sort order on G2G Answers

Question

When I look at a question in G2G, it would be nice to have the most recent answer appear at the top of the list, and then older answers after that.

Am I missing a feature that is already there?  If not, is this doable?

That is already the default sort order, but only on the first page. And works for each categories (sub-forums) too.

On the "all questions" page, its sorted by when asked.

But there is no option to change the sort order.

Thank you for your answer.

I agree, the the default sort order for the questions in G2G is most recent first.

However, I am interested in the display of the answers when I click on any one question.  There, it appears that the answers display in oldest-first order.  

I think it would be nice to have an option, set in my profile perhaps, that allows be to pick whether to display the answers in oldest-first, or most recent-first order.

ah, yes... I see what you mean. I agree, that might be better.

but unfortunately, as I understand it, this is an "off-the-shelf" software package, so its use is mostly "as-is"

If date is the default order why do some searches on G2G posts come in a different order? If you try to look for a post for a challenge or other regular posts they do not come up in date order.
