Category suggestion - Soldiers' Home?

I'm working on Civil War veterans profiles in my area and several spent the last years of their lives at one of the Soldiers's Homes set up for this purpose. Would it be useful to have a category for something like this? (In this case, it's the Chelsea, MA, Soldiers Home.)

I don't mind setting it up; just wondering if it would be a useful category. :)

Edited to add: I have found similar categories: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:National_Home_for_Disabled_Volunteer_Soldiers so I guess it's okay :)

My other question would be: What would I call it? Category: Soldiers Home, Chelsea, Massachusetts. (Seems so less thorough than the others, lol) https://www.mass.gov/orgs/soldiers-home-in-chelsea

Seems that's a State Maintained Facility and not a Veterans Administration Facility.

A suggestion would be to create a [[State Veterans Facilities]] sub-category under the category [[Category: United States Armed Forces]]

Then create a sub-category [[Category:Massachusetts Facilities]] or [[Category: Veterans Facilities Massachusetts]] under that

Then create the [[Category: Soldiers Home, Chelsea, Massachusetts]] under the Massachusetts Facilities category.  The category name does not need to be a tell all.  Data in the category page should give all the details and the url you mentioned above for the Chelsea Home should be included as well.

Like I said, just a suggestion.  I would wait for a few others to reply before making a decision. Remember, if you make a category you don't like, it can be deleted.

I don't believe this falls under the Military Categories. It is was never run by the military. Regardless - this needs input from the Category Project.
Thank you LJ and Terri. I get so confused by military things - I never would have recognized this was not a military facility. I'll just skip the category idea for now. Thank you both for your input!

I had to earn that Best Selection Award because I felt my answer didn't solve your problem.

I think I might have found the Top Category for you. Massachusetts

Create a sub-category [[Category: Massachusetts Veterans Facilities]]  under that to follow the standard naming convention for sub categories there. Then create the [[Category: Soldiers Home, Chelsea, Massachusetts]] under the Massachusetts Veterans Facilities category.

Since it is in and maintained by the State of Massachusetts for Mass. Veterans, you can't go wrong putting it there.  And if a another Top Category that encompasses Veteran based program, facilities, etc, is found, you can still add this to it then.

I knew there had to be a place for it.  There's always room for Jello on WikiTree.  LOL

Another possible category is Prisoner of War Camps - Civil War but also WW1 & WW2

And for Vietnam
