Looking for any and all help on tracking down more information on my ggg-grandfather Benjamin Vermillion.  I have updated his WikiTree profile with everything I can find.  I have no solid leads on his parents, siblings, children other than William, possible additional wives, etc.

Hi, Jeremy. I’m on a break from working outside and see you have Vermillions in your line. My wife does, too, no so far away across the Virginia line. I can’t get to my stuff until later today (already covered in dirt). If someone else hasn’t answered, I’ll check my database and see if I’ve got something.
Do you know who Susan Perdue is on the census with him?
Jeremy, I just checked my database, and no Benjamin. My wife’s line goes back to a Reason Vermillion, b. 1821 in Kentucky per the 1850 census of Boyle County. I’m still looking...

I haven't been able to find any information on Sally Perdue or Susan Perdue but I assume Susan is her mother?  I just can't find any concrete evidence of it.

Here is what I have on Benjamin:

1825: Stokes Co., NC marriage bond: Benjamin Vermillion and Rebecca Roberson

1830 NC census: 1 male 20-30yo, 1 female 20-30yo, 1 female under 5yo

1840 Stokes Co., NC Census: Benjamin Vermilion(sp) 1 male 30-40yo, 1 male 6-10yo, 1 female 30-40yo

1850 Stokes Co., NC census: Benjamin Vermillion (50yo) living with Alexander Miller and James S. Sapp

1856: Benjamin Vermillion marriage to Sally Perdue, Forsyth Co., NC

1860 Forsyth Co., NC census: Benjamin Vermillion (54yo?), Sarah(55yo?), William H. (2yo).

1870: Forsyth Co., NC census: Benjamin Vermillion (69yo), Sarah (30yo? illegibal), Harrison (12), Joshua (9yo), Susan Perdue (85yo).

1880 census: No record of Benjamin; Harrison Vermillion (20yo, single), Susan Perdew(sp) (82yo, widowed).

1882: Forsyth, NC: Benjamin Vermillion and Sarah Vermillion in Marriage record of Jehu Vermillion(b. 1862) and Susan Dillon(b. 1863)

1894: Benjamin Vermillion and Sallie(sp) listed as deceased on marriage license of William Harrison Vermillion.

Sally (Sallie) is found in 3 places:

1) 1856 Marriage license between Benjamin Vermillion and Sally Perdue.

2) 1894 Marriage license for William Harrison Vermillion and Ella Carmichael. (Sally)

3) 1921 Death certificate of William Harrison Vermillion. (Sallie)

Hi Jeremy - According to a profile I found on Ancestry he was born in Rockport. His parents were Guy Vermillion b. 1755 Prince George’s County, Maryland and Rachel Harrison b. 1763. Children listed were: Rebecca 1790, Abraham 1792, Ann 1798, James 1799, Benjamin 1800, Guy Wilson 1805-1859, Charity 1806-1885. No sourcing was attached. Hope this gets you started. V
