I am adding people in a gedcom and don't understand how to add people who do not have matches already in Wtree.

Once you've finished approving or rejecting all the suggested matches, Add buttons will appear in the WikiTree Profiles column; click on those to add the new profiles. But you have to go through all the suggested matches first before the Add buttons will appear.
