I have most of the information I want about my ancestery back to England as many people have already researched it and it is available on the internet but I have been unable to find out where my G-Grandfather Elmer Augustus Eastman or his third wife Ella M.Rhoades are buried. He was born in Oxford, Wis. Jan. 24, 1861 and died May 25, 1953 in Los Angles Calf. They were last living with their daughter and son- in-law, Grace and Cecil Lively at 1315 Highland Ave. Duarte, Calf. in the early 1950s as he was still corresponding with my parents from there in 1952. His mother Lydia A. (Osborn) (Eastman) Boynton and his brother Orlando Adelbert Eastman and wife Amy are buried in the Rialto Cemetery in San Bernardino Calf. Their daughter Grace married Cecil Lively Sept. 3, 1932 in Los Angles. Elmer and Ella's son Ralph born Feb. 27, 1897 was married to Peggy and had an adopted daughter Darlene, They lived 4193 La Bourget Ave. Culver City, Calf. Ralph died Apr. 14,1982. I do not know where any of them are buried. Elmer's first wife he married in Wis. was Laura E. Cole. They had a son Royal Oliver Eastman in Wis. March 16. 1883 who died in April 1970 who was my Grandfather. Elmer and Laura divorced and he married a second time in Calf. and they lived near Portland Ore. but his second wife died shortly after they moved to Calf. where he married Ella in 1893. I have been to the Rialto Cemetery and to the cemetery in Oxford, Wis.where his Father Adelbert (spelled Adelburt on his headstone) is buried. Adelbert died Sept. 25, 1865 as a result of injury or illness from serving in the Civil war. Lydia's parents and a half sister, Minnie Boynton are also buried in Oxford, Wis. I'm not sure if further information would be helpful but I have more dates and names if anyone needs more to help find Elmer's burial place.

Elmer Augustus Eastman was still alive and writting letters to my family until shortly before his death on May 25, 1953. I have at least 40 of the letters the last one dated in March 1951 when he was over 90 years old so the date of 1935 must be an error. I am surprised Ralph's wife may be buried in Salt Lake City. The name Vera Frances Edgar is not familiar as she was always called Peggy. Thanks for info. Hope it will lead to Elmer's burial place.

His death was 25 May 1935 according to a posting on LDS FamilySearch.org by vwest@oasisol.com. The posting does not include a place of burial but the contributor may have additional information. He is listed as a son of Adelbert Eastman and Lydia Ann Osborn. Ralph Earl Eastman is shown as having been born about 1894, married to Vera Frances Edgar. She is buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. A picture of her has been posted to the website.
