Need some help adding a cemetery category

Could someone add a Cemetery category?  Has been a couple years since I’ve created a category, and I’m drawing a blank, while reading the directions.  I recall it being easy when I’ve done it previously, but the brain isn’t cooperating today and suspect I will botch it.

I would like to add Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, to this page.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Jefferson_County%2C_Washington%2C_Cemeteries

It is in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington.  Thank you :)

I'm also having problems understanding HOW to add a cemetery category while including the place.

Want to add Willow Grove Cemetery to profile Williams-56877, while including the place of Willow Grove, (Baw Baw Shire) Victoria, Australia.

Located one profile, hoping I could copy the correct wording. No luck.

Think I've done it ! Wooo hoooo

Do you have a profile to add to it?  I find it easier to add it to the profile and then edit the cemetery than to just add a cemetery category without a profile.  But that is just me.  In this case I would edit the profile with [[Category: Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Port Townsend, Washington]]  Then go to the link and add in the towns and Washington cemetery links as well as the FAG cemetery link.  You can copy and paste the data from Laurel Grove Cemetery.

Thank you Gurney, for the help.  It did work with the help of of you clear directions and copy/paste from Laurel Grove.

This is the profile.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DiMuro-4  and she does show up on the new cemetery

Thank you, once again Gurney. More than a year later and the brain still wasn't remembering how to do this, so did a G2G search and this thread popped up.  Such a difficult process made so easy, with your helpsmiley

I added this Cemetery but I have a red categories link. I'm don't know how to fix it. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Fraley/Lee_Cemetery%2C_Russell_County%2C_Virginia
I fixed it. You needed to add the parent so the hierarchy worked. In the case of cemeteries, the parent is always the county they reside in. So this is how it looks in the programming

| parent = Russell County, Virginia
Thank You!

I have read this several times and attempted to do everything according to the instructions here as well as at the categorization page (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Categorization) without success. The instruction read:

Adding New Categories

If you would like to use a category but can't find it by searching or browsing click the "request a new category or advice" link that you will see next to the Edit Text box on the edit page of any profile.

Members can create new categories if they fit within an existing hierarchy and use our agreed-upon category naming scheme but if you have any uncertainty, use the link to start a conversation in G2G and you're sure to get help from Categorization Project members and other advanced WikiTreers

I tried this and was also unsuccessful, so I am reaching out for expert help to add a new cemetery in Chester County, Tennessee:

The process is a challenge indeed. I will get this cemetery added in a bit.  I'm slow at this, so will be a few minutes.
Ok - set up but with a couple hick-ups.  1st attempt went to a Palestine in another county and trying to wrap my head around that was confusing me so simply put the cemetery in Chester county, without trying to create another Palestine town.
Thank you so much, Patricia Roche! You get the Heart award today!!!
You are welcome.  I keep hoping I will master this with practice, but each one is a challenge.

Here I am again asking for assistance adding a category:

1. Ingle Cemetery, Bethel Springs, McNairy County, Tennessee.

Here is the Findagrave Link: https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/13852/ingle-cemetery

Here is a person I would like to add to this cemetery: Crangle-53

I have a second INGLE Cemetery I would also like to add:

2. Ingle Cemetery, Chester County, Tennessee

Findagrave Link for Ingle in Chester County: https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2181371/ingle-cemetery

Profile: Laughlin-2510

These two cemeteries are just a few miles apart and people easily confuse them.

Thanks so much!!

Margaret

Hi Margaret, I'm one finger pecking with  a broken wrist, so not able to help with this one.  Hopefully someone else will jump in and help
Hope your wrist heals and you feel better soon.
