The profiles I have added to Wikitree are not connected to the Global Family Tree. Why is that?

I decided to join Wikitree partly because I found an ancestor of mine, Dudley Higley b. 1770, could be connected to pretty much anyone I could pick out.  Yet after connecting myself to him, I and my created profiles can't be shown any connections to anyone besides direct ancestors and the other profiles I've created.  Yet when I use the relationship calculator on the same people (e.g. Elizabeth II and Amelia Earhart), it does show how I'm biologically related to them.  

Why is this?

I see you just connected yourself today, it does take a a day ro two for the system to make the matches (not sure exactly how long it takes).

Give it some time and then you'll see yourself connected. :)
