death certificate lists fathers name as james,unknown mother .however heritage says james lucuis chamberlain as only  son of Phineas born 1791/1792,(son of Phineas and Rebecca dalyrimple . Chamberlain society.org .says Phineas(jr ) married mary smith  in 1813 in Sardinia ny .

could phineas  jr have used the name james to distinguish himself from his father ? any help is appreciated

on his parents.
