"Anchorage Daily News" - JOHN WOSK, JR., age 48 - Former Peters Creek resident JOHN J WOSK, JR., died January 7, 2003, at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A service was January 14, 2003, at Torbert Funeral Home in Dover, Delaware. Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
MR. WOSK was born on August 24, 1955 in London, England, to JOHN J and MARGARET WOSK. He graduated from Bartlett High School. At the time of his death he was employed as a construction superintendent for the Waterfront Marine Construction Company.
MR. WOSK came to Alaska with his family in 1972 and lived the adventurous life. His passions were being in the Alaska outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He was known to tell a tale or two of his experiences. He had lived in Alaska for 20 years when he moved to Virginia Beach.
MR. WOSK's children, ZANE and BREA, and his grandson, MICHAEL, were the lights of his life.
His father and his son, ZANE J WOSK, preceded him in death.
JOHN is survived by his daughter, BREAHANNON, and grandson, MICHAEL, of Anchorage; and his mother, MARGARET HENRICHSON, and stepfather, CHALRES HENRICHSON of Dover, Delaware.

JOHN's son, ZANE JOSEPH WOSK, was born on January 9, 1981 and died May 29, 1996, at the age of 15. He is buried in the "Anchorage Medmorial Park Cemetery" in Anchorage. From his obituary: "ZANE is survived by his mother, VALERIE WOSK and her companion, KEVIN DORAH of Peters Creek; his father, JOHN WOSK of Dover, Delaware; his sister BREA WOSK of Peters Creek; his grandparents, ALFRED & CATHERINE YAWIT of Anchorage; CHARLES & MARGARET HENRICHSON of Dover; his great grandmother, VALERIA FLORIAN of Boonton, New Jersey; aunts and uncles, BEVERLY and EDWARD SORENSON of Anchorage; ALFRED and VALERIE YAWIT of Ninilchik, and BARBARA YAWIT and ANDREW DAOUST of Anchorage; cousins, HENRY & HOWARD YAWIT of Ninilchik."

JOHN JOSEPH WOSK, SR., was born June 4, 1931 (probably in Baltimore, Maryland) and died Jan 1974 in Forrestville, Maryland. He served in the United States Air Force from Dec. 11, 1951 to Dec. 31, 1971. After his divorce from JOHN JR's mother, MARGARET, he married CATHERINE JUNE BALL.
