Access to archives of the Berkshire Courier (Great Barrington, Massachusetts) newspaper (1867)?

Hello, all!

I just started reading a dissertation which mentions a Letter to the Editor that Civil War veteran Private Edward Augustus Croslear of the 54th Massachusetts wrote to the Berkshire Courier (Great Barrington, Massachusetts) on 21 November 1867 which I would love to read in full. The link to the dissertation is on his profile if anyone's curious to read the teaser.

I'm not at all sure if it's digitized anywhere, but pretty much all of you know more than me about research resources! All I can find are library holdings here https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83020682/holdings/ and it looks like I'm way too far west (Seattle) for any of those. And since I'm profiling the entire regiment, pay-for-access usually means I just have to move on to the next soldier.

Any ideas appreciated! Thank you.

I scanned your list and found one of the holders to have an Article request service.  If you can point them to the right issue, they can scan it and email you a copy.  The fee is $15.   They offer free consultations by phone too.

I didn't check them all.   You might find a cheaper service at one of the others.
