The photographer here was Ernsberger of Auburn, NY. He was known to have photographed a relative of Rutherford B. Hayes and also Harriet Tubman in 1908.

William & Peter Reiland

Photographer T M Swen, St Paul MN

Thomas M. Swem of St. Paul, Minnesota. Research from the Minnesota Historical Society reveals that photographer Thomas M. Swem  was born in Lima, Ohio in 1848 and began his photography business in Missouri in 1882. He moved to St. Paul, Minnesota and operated photography studios from various locations there from 1883 through 1899 when he moved out of state.

If any of these people sound familiar please get in touch. Not sure I can post these photos online here. Have a few more, but will do them later. Will be home the 8th of March. So will not be ignoring anyone if I don't answer right away. Don't always have access to internet right now.

Wow, what gems you've found, Lynne!

I do hope someone will be able to find and/or create profile pages to go with all the wonderful photos you've found! I took a quick look around WikiTree, and wasn't immediately able to find matches for these--but that doesn't mean they're not out there, perhaps missing a date or name. And if profile pages can't be found for any of these on WikiTree, then I sincerely hope you create them, since with those names, dates, and places you've definitely got some excellent sources to get their pages off to a wonderful start!

I've often found myself wishing for pictures to accompany profile pages--especially those in the 1800's and early 1900's--because there's really nothing as wonderful as a photograph to convey the emotional feeling and essence of who that person was. Obviously one photo just shares a certain feeling and mood of a particular day, but I do find it true that "a picture is worth a thousand words."

And once these photos are on profile pages, since we do know the names and dates and places, thanks to your excellent sleuthing efforts, we'll have a gold mine for genealogists to work with in building their profile pages.

Thank you so very much for sharing this good news!
