Descendant lists.

Question

I would like to know the number in the Descendant lists. Let say i am the 312 of my tree. Staring 

Starting to 1 from the oldest to the nn for the youngest. Just adding a sequence number for the at the birth date list 

Is it possible?

Hi Pierre,  Welcome to the one world-wide family WikiTree!

We all share all the profiles on WikiTree.  We should not add private codes that are only useful to individual users.  Your sequence number idea would not be useful for everyone. They would best be used on a private desktop computer program of your own family tree.  

Part of the problem is as other profiles are connected to your family twig, or as your twig is connected to surname branches, the numbers will change. You will have to constantly renumber your ancestors with each change.

WikiTree isn't strong on report generation. What you are requesting is similar to the NGSQ (National Genealogical Society Quarterly) numbering system. There, the starting ancestor is 1 and everyone else is numbered after that. The question then becomes how to assign numbers to the next generation. NGSQ starts with 2 and does all those children then down the despondency tree. then comes back to 3 and repeats until all sub trees are done. You would need to use some other software to get the kind of report you are interested in or write one yourself if you are inclined that way. I haven't found one for WikiTree so dump to GEDCOM and import into other software.

I think you want a different kind of numbering.
