Hey Arborists! There are 9 profiles for (maybe) two people. A lot of them are orphaned. I'd be happy to help out if someone can take the lead.

What is his WikiTree ID URL ?  I did a couple that were orphaned but I NEED SOURCES for his data . Please post them .

Arborist sometimes need to do a LOT of online research ( and if they have time ) , work in libraries for the sources that are not online . I do a lot at the University library but I will not be back there until after vacation so if you have WELLS genealogy you want me to find , let me know !

Let me take a couple days and confirm my information and get you some solid sources. My biggest concern/headache was that I wasn't even sure who to match/merge where.
The Arborist function is to seek out duplicates, propose them, merge if possible and perform basic clean up of the profile. There are some 20,000+ pending merges presently.

This type of research would be more for the Profile Improvement Project.

It doesn't seem to be very active though.

Profile Improvement Project is alive and well and active, but there are only so many hours in a day. I suppose if someone had something like the above, that they needed done sooner than later they could call attention to it here on the G2G, but in this case it sounds as though Ty has sources, she just needs help from "Super Mergers"

Good to hear. Back in Dec there wasn't much activity but glad to see activity again.

The duplicates have already been cleared.

I have confirmed my ancestor Zachariah Wells, 1771-1836, who was born in Effingham Co. Georgia and died in Bryan County, Georgia, and who was married to Elizabeth Scott, 1785-1842. I have an 1826 document for James Scott, father of Elizabeth who names his son in law Zachariah Wells, grandson Thomas Wells, and his daughter Elizabeth, wife of Zachariah Wells.

I also have 1836/1839 documents naming Elizabeth Wells as the administratrix of Zachariah Wells estate, and Andrew A. Wells, 1813-1865 as a witness. Andrew A. Wells, 1813-1865 & Thomas K. Wells, 1820-1864 were both sons of Zachariah & Elizabeth, and they had two other sons and 3 daughters and still confirming their names. Through dna testing, I have a confirmed 4th cousin match between Jeannine Wells, whose gggrandfather was Andrew A. Wells and  Joseph Russell Wells, Jr whose gggrandfather was Thomas K. Wells, so they share Zachariah Wells as their ggggrandfather.

Best regards, Douglas
