Looking for information of Royan family's ancestors from Co. Mayo, Ireland.

My ancestors left for Australia, John Royan & Mary McMannoman being the parents. John is listed on shipping records as being 60 years of age i.e born 1824 but on his death in 1903 recorded as being 95 years of age i.e born 1808. Mary is recorded as being 46 years on the shipping record. Children were John jr, Mary jr, Honor (born 1871) Ellen, Patrick, ( travelled in 1884) Other sons, James, Michael, Thomas arrived in Australia prior

Shipping records can contain errors for dates of Brith ages etc, so don't rely totally on them. For example some of my ancestors were listed as Hogg instead of Ogg on shipping records for Australia.

You may find their exact details at Roots Ireland; it's the official site, be aware it's quite an expensive site, the search is free but you have to pay to view certificates.
