Gedcom loaded without documentation

Question

I have carefully documented my work but the gedcom I uploaded to Wikitree has no notes and documentation. How do I correct this? Can I remove this gedcom and upload another or can I add documentation to the one already on Wikitree?

Hi Barbara!

I checked the raw data in your GEDCOM file and your notes and sources are there so if you want to continue importing that GEDCOM you're good to go in that regard! Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks!

As Eowyn has said the data is there but does not show at the gedmatching stage, at that time your gedcom is not part of wikitree, once you have checked all the suggested duplicates and, probably, skipped them so you do not import duplicates, you can then elect to import the gedcom and the notes and sources should be included.

I do not see how my sources and notes are included in the gedcom that I imported since Ancestral Quest on my computer - from which I made the gedcom - shows no notes or sources.  Unless --- I imported the wrong gedcom. It did seem strange to me that my name wasn't in the list of matches. So how do I start over or is that even possible?

If you are still at the gedmatching stage and have not yet clicked the import button then you can delete the file using the link at the end of the gedmatches list. If you have clicked the import button and had a reply that your gedcom is imported then it may still be possible to delete it. You need to email info@wikitree.com immediately, with 48 hours at maximimum
