Well, I can't really interpret this old book which talks of the Bird and Dodd families which were apparantly John Bird's family.  Perhaps someone can read these pages and figure out the information and how the Broxton lands changed hands. This is in The History of the County Palatine and city of of Chester page 370-371.  Sorry I can't be of more help.

I am using Allen Byrd's "The Bird-Byrd Genealogy" to sort out the B*rd family tree. I will be contacting many PM's in an effort to get the LNAB's to match Mr.  Byrd's work. Proposed mergers will be in the direction of the correct name rather than the lower ID.
