Need help finding parents of Rebecca Bertha McKee, 1887-1957 [closed]

Hi,

Rebecca Bertha McKee seems to have parachuted into history. We know the day she was born but not where. We know the day she died but not where, Both are probable for the Leeds Township area of Québec. Date of Marriage. No prob. Even have a family portrait in the family archive, but just plain nothing on her past.

She's the youngest brick wall in the family, and though there is no shortage of McKee's who settled around Leeds, none are connected to her that I can find.

Any help would be immensely appreciated. :)

Hi,

Sometimes surnames are spelled wrong, Have you tried McGee, I noticed some Mckee's in my family tree, made me think of that, found one but she was already married in 1901.

"Canada Census, 1901," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KH55-8TK : 27 April 2017), Mcgee in household of Ann Mcgee, Pontiac, Quebec, Canada; citing p. 2, Library and Archives of Canada, Ottawa.

Hi, I haven't tried all the variations, though I know they are part and parcel of the clan. Most of my keyword searches are done with the couple's names, so I'll try just her name, see what turns up.

Did not find much on Rebecca. If she was born in 1887 and married in 1900, she would have only been 13 years old when she married.
Thanks for looking. I've visited and personally photographed his grave site. :) Beautiful area. Yes, I've noticed that too about her. The wedding portrait does not suggest she was that young, and perhaps that was part of it...
Hi Frank,

I was going over the photos I took at Saint-James Cemetery, and realized one error I had made. Charles Alexander Fraser married Bertha May McKee. 10 Sep 1877- 2 Mar 1951. http://www.booksbygwen.ca/database/mc.However: http://www.booksbygwen.ca/database/f.

So is Rebecca Bertha also Bertha May?

I haven't tracked down the later date of birth.

Can you have another look with this info?

Bertha M. McKee Fraser is buried at the same cemetery as her husband, Charles Alexander Fraser. It's still not clear to me how the name Rebecca plays  a role if any in this case. Per surnamedb.com , McKee can be Irish or Scottish.

Thanks Frank, as for the name, it is probably best to not dwell, because it was a self-induced tangle, one way or another. All sorted out now.
