The context is: Josiah rmt Kezia Tatlock, relict of John.  The list of abbrev. I have, says ”rmt” means Reporting married to, but nothing for the “relict”, which is likely a clue to the status of John, that I believe to be her husband.

A relict is a widow or widower, so Kezia was John's widow, and John was her deceased previous husband.

Thank you Star. I've presumed John dead, but not found a record of his death, so was hesitant to use this as a source for confirmation of death, without knowing for sure what it is saying.
Not only do you have confirmation of his death, you also know that he died before the date of this marriage.  One step closer to determining his date of death!
Yes, the window gets smaller with each clue. Have him alive in 1790 and then Keziah popping into meetings, asking for help in 1792-3. Now we know it was because John likely died abt. 1791.  Would be nice if they had made an entry for his death, but I'll gratefully, use whatever I can find.
