David,  I can't answer your question about that site, especially since I had to have Google translate for me -- but the link leads to a fascinating story, and mentions Adrian Richerdsson Falkener, who I had just run into in my own research (that is, if this is the same person as Adrian Falk or Falch -- and I have the idea he may be because I think his wife's name was the same.

Anyway, I was really glad you posted this!

Hi David,

I think the answer is no, it is not a primary source.

But, the sources used to create the article are posted at the bottom:

  • Genealog 1/99 page 59-61.
  • Danish Biographical Lexicon XI 1897 page 532-33.
  • Arnstein Rønning: Munk. Aschehougs Norges historie. Trondheim city history
  • Karsten Alnæs: The story of N orge. Journal History No. 3 1997: The Lord's Day in Trondheim in 1597.

I hope this helps :)

Those don't look like primary sources either, since it's published articles rather than original records.

Nothing wrong with well researched secondary/tertiary sources, though.
Agreed. None of the referenced sources are primary.
