This is a bug that happens sometimes with merging (especially since the marriage data is in a separate table) -- because the old profiles don't go away, they are merely redirected. So the old ID is still somehow attached.
But because of the privacy level, we can't see, or assist directly.
Still the problem should be easy to remedy -- simply disconnect the relationship(s), and then reconnect them.
