Many good sources posted in G2G would be lost were it not for... [closed]

The G2G Integrators Project

When someone requests genealogy help in G2G there are often good sources provided in the replies that do not get added to WikiTree profiles...

until the G2G Integrators Project arrives at the scene!

This is one of the most important ways we work to make the G2G forum and the WikiTree website function together optimally.

We review past posts on a regular schedule and evaluate them for useful information and sources that could be added to existing profiles or used to create new ones.  Communicating with the people who posted, we decide how we can best help.  When it is a non-member we often create new profiles and invite the person to join and manage them.  We have had excellent results.

We need more people to integrate with us!

If you would like to help capture information posted in G2G that might otherwise be lost, and make sure that it gets to our tree instead, come join our team of integrators today... we need you!

Are you also pushing creating new templates for sources to minimize the impact of link rot

Good question Magnus... i'm not sure what project that directly falls under.  I hope it is being worked on.  Are you pushing for new templates?

All external links without a template is a potential problem... or its not a maybe problem its more when WikiTree get a problem....
