Sources for those born in NSW Australia in the last 100 years?

De Facto Wife of Alan Salt

Mother of Natasha Ford

Died 13 Jan 2013, Auburn, NSW.

In NSW I have only found a searchable birth index that allows you to see people born over a hundred years ago. Marilyn was born 66 years ago, thus, even though I know the relevant dates, i don't have a source to quote. The only option when I saved it was "Alan Salt will provide by 25 Oct 2017".

Is there a way to do this?

Adequate? Still tagged.

How do you know this information? My grandfather was born in 1932 so he has no searchable record. For his source I put "information obtained by living relatives" (aunt).

We had a child in '72 and knew each other from 1971 to 2013 when she died drinking tea at the breakfast table at her daughter's home, from a brain aneurism.

I have tried this, and saved it. There is still a tag saying ".This profile lacks source information. Please add sources that support the facts."

It is still correct to have the {{Unsourced}} template on the profile until verifiable sources can be added.

Not consistent. Plenty of profiles have the source as, roughly, "personal recollection" or "as related by living relative" and are not tagged as lacking sources. Not that worried about whether the sources notice is "correct", more that it might get deleted or somesuch.

It will be 34 years before those dates are on the NSW index.I've tried Trove,  ryersonindex.org, and Google newspapers, but no sign of birth notices or any newspaper attention of any kind.

I'm told elsewhere it won't get deleted or anything like that, and to just let it be. I think I've done all I can think of at the moment to find other sources.

Think there is no automatic removal of unsourced tag.
