Please help identify this source

Question

The profile for George Dark (Dark-83) once contained this text under "sources".

Passenger & Immigration Records. Accession# 9808287, Gale Id# 362387, source publication # 1823.15 Immigrated to Canada 1871

When I asked about this; the original manager modified this verbiage and then made me the manager. :) My wife is a descendant; she is not. I have lots of data that will eventually be added to profile. This newbie takes baby steps.

I suspect the above text actually refers to two sources.

I found one source that matches part of the data. A page on ancestry refers to collection called "U.S. and Canada, Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s" and contains "source publication # 1823.15" and "Arrival Year 1871". Reading the notes on this page; this data is actually an extract from census and has nothing to do with Passengers or Immigration! George was already in Canada in 1847!

I see no mention of Accession# 9808287, Gale Id# 362387 on the ancestry page. I do not know details of how George crossed the Atlantic. The prior manager on this profile suggested data may have come from MyHeritage site (I have no account) or FamilySearch.

Can anyone find a source mentioning George Dark with reference to "Accession# 9808287, Gale Id# 362387"?

I think I've found a reference that implies that the Passenger and Immigration Lists can be found on Ancestry. See this example:

I don't have Ancestry access, or I'd look, but the number references appear to be helpful in narrowing down the search.

And I guess there might be alternate ways to get to this data that don't involve Ancestry, but it might mean jumping through a few hoops, getting some books from the library, etc.
