Did Michel Joseph Morin have a son named Joseph?

Question

Various trees on Ancestry.com seem to claim that my 4th great grandmother, Esther Beauchamp (Beauchamp-2122) was born to Jean Baptiste Beauchamp (b. 1796) and Agathe Morin (b. 1793). Supposedly Agathe Morin (b. 1793) was born to Joseph Morin (b. abt. 1765) and Marguerite Goulet (b. abt. 1765). And finally, supposedly this Joseph Morin (b. abt. 1765) was a son of Michel Joseph Morin (Morin-2118) and Marie Claire Cloutier (Cloutier-1042). 

Much of this tree is corroborated by the link to the Canadian Genealogy Website I have posted below, but since there are no original sources attached it is hard to verify anything.

Personally, I have not had much success gaining access to French Canadian records from before the early 1800's. Can anyone else with more experience and access comment on these alleged relationships? I would love to make this connection but I don't want to do it without adequate records.
