As familypedia states, most ancestry.com trees agree that her maiden name was Garland, but that her first name might have been Ann or Agnes instead.
More recent evidence suggests that she was not the daughter of Edward Garland, Sr.. There was no Garland family living in New Kent County when she married Francis Hester though Edward Garland, Sr., proceeded to buy a lot of land in the county in the 1680s. He became one of the cornerstones of the county and of the church therein.
