So are these the same person?

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:MergePerson&user1_name=Belt-3&user2_name=Belt-425&action=compare

The ancestry was unknown in 2008 according to this

And did they ever have a daughter called Chastity?

The most fun about this one is the similarity of the wiveʻs surnames on the well sourced profile.
Actually one of them should have married Chastity Black and had a son called Black Belt.

Just bumping the thread hoping somebody knows somethng about the immigrant.

A couple of notes:

1. The link to Sir Robert has been disproved according to your own link in the question.  Since both profiles cite this both profiles have some contents then that are in question.

2.  Death date is approx in Belt -425 while exact in Belt-3 but the two are over 30 years apart.  Since Belt-3 has a death age of 48 and Belt-425 has one of 83 this is a discrepancy of 35 years.  Could the death date in Belt-425 be that of his son Humphrey who is listed in Belt-3 children list.

3.  In no way can Charity be his daughter because he is long dead in both profiles at time of her birth in 1703.

These 2 profiles may indeed be the same person but the marriages in Belt-425 do not appear to have a source while that in Belt-3 seems to be well documented.  I did find this which perhaps gives wife 2 source  http://pweb.netcom.com/~fzsaund/tydings.html.

What is difficult is knowing exactly what should be retained and what should be deleted doing a merge.  More exacting research not relying on suspect sources like internet trees or the "Daughters of the American Revolution Magazine which have published other articles later shown to contain errors.  There are 4 PMs 3 on one and 1 on the other. Perhaps they could work together to do proper sourcing and get one good profile.

http://www.ronulrich.com/ulrich/HumphreyBeltMystery.html  this appears to be research notes trying to wipe away the myth and get to the truth written by a Belt descendant.  It is worth looking at.

I looked into this more as part of the Integrators Project of helping with G2G postings.

The addition of Humphrey Belt as son of Robert Belt and Grace Foxcroft is completely inaccurate. Humphrey sailed from Gravesend in England to America and since there was never any documented evidence, someone guessed that Humphrey came from North Yorkshire and speculated that he must be from the Belt family of Bossall.   This claim has been disproved many times.  For more details consult this website:  http://humphreybelt.net/
