Is there a way to search for text within my watchlist?

As example, I'd like to search for profiles with the phrase "no biography yet", but limit the search to only profiles in my watchlist, or those I manage. Thanks.

There may be an easier way to get there, but

http://wikitree.sdms.si/default.htm (I always get an error when I click this, but just click ok and it works) Go to Watchlists, click the buttons, then scroll down to the errors that say 803 Almost empty profile.

I think (not sure) this will catch them, unless of course there's a lot of other stuff in the profile.

Hi Morgan,

Welcome to wikitree! At this time I don't believe there are any search parameters that can be set to limit according to specific wording in the Biography. I could be wrong though. However I can think of 2 suggestions. Both are kind of intertwined with each other.

1. You can use the regular [[Category: Needs Biography]] this is found in the Maintenance Categories  Than when you bring up that category you can select on the right hand side at top of screen "Limit to watch-list"

2. You can utilize a personal category Personal Categories and set it up specifically for the accounts of which you manage.

Hope this helps

4 years late, but I just uploaded a new version of Ancestor Explorer that includes a "Bio Text" list option that allows you to generate a list of all your ancestors (or the ancestors of any other person/profile on WikiTree) whose bios contain specific words or phrases. I acknowledge that all ancestors profiles is not the same as all watchlist profiles, but perhaps close enough for most uses.

Just an approximation but you can also use BioCheck. Be sure to increase the count to search, check and report. Select Report all profiles. It will take a couple minutes. Sort results by inline ref count.

This works since you do such a nice job on biographies.

You may be able to use Google to find these profiles. For example use theae search terms:  site:wikitree.com "Your Name" "any text string"
