Clarification please - Global Family Reunion template

Why does this profile have the category of Uncategorized Templates?

Another member asked a similar question recently. I think the culprit was an old template, probably this one:

I guess the template was only intended for user profiles, but it obviously got used on a lot of dead people as well.  About 8000 profiles are affected.

We need to attract attention.  Perhaps if we all jump up and down and wave and holler.

To be honest, I never understood the hype about the template to start with. The indicators at the bottom were sufficient for me

Perhaps the template pre-dates those indicators.

And perhaps a fellow WikiTreer who is "in the know" can "clue us in!!"

But yeah nevertheless intriguing that that Global Family Reunion template is um yeah obsolete. I know I have other profiles such as Percy here who has the template but has nothing (both no template, and doesn't have the Uncategorized Templates category)

At the time of the GFR, the Bacon box feature didn't exist and you had to go to the Connection Finder to get the number of steps.  The number of steps didn't stay up to date unless you kept updating it, so the template wasn't supposed to last long.  They made it invisible because they couldn't remove it.  And now there's no way to update it because the AJ numbers aren't calculated.

It was corrected. There was an error in template definition.

There is also template {{Global Family Reunion|steps=}} 

Both together are used on 18000 profiles. The result of template is nothing, but if the reunion will happen again, we might show a sticker on it. 

You can also remove it if you want.

It is the global family reunion tag that is showing up as the  uncategorized template. Something must have been dome to that template to change it. My advice is to remove it

Yup, removed the template and added something more appropriate

Just checked another profile I know has had the template, Percy, but he doesn't have the category...
