Children are Christine Louise Maier b. 1866 in Ursprung, Austria; Katherine Maier b. 1872; Marie Maier, Anna Maier; Friedrich Maier; Johann Maier; Maude Maier,;Notburgh (Nora) Maier. Believe all of the children were born in Austria. Believe both parents born in Zell am Ziller. Johann was in the Tiroler rifle corps. Maude did not emigrate to the US, but remained with an aunt in Zell am Ziller. Felix Geisler was a relative (possibly a violin maker). There was an aunt Sophia Maier. Possibly other aunts were Monica Pleshki/Pleshikon and Eva.Also need information about Johann Maier. Believe that Barbara and Johann were born in Zell am Ziller.

I see your question hasn't been answered. Have you tried the Germany/Prus on Facebook. There are some really knowledgable researchers who specialize in German research.

Sorry Anonymous, I have obviously NOT been checking WikiTree in quite some time.  I do believe that you were able to get in touch with me as I recall addressing this question.

There were several Geisler families living in Zell am Ziller.  This line does not seem to correlate with the one listed in my tree.

My surname is by marriage, and so there is absolutely NO connection regarding my given name.  Joseph Geisler who came to the US was the only son who survived according to Salzburg Catholic Archive records.  There was a sister, Teresa, who never emigrated to our knowledge.

Good luck, and I do apology for the delay in answering this.
