How to get an unresposive PM to change an LNAB?

On the 16 Dec 2016 I requested the profile manager for Stewart_of_Auch_and _Glencrispendale-1 to change the LNAB to Stewart.

There are many other LNAB's similar to this where the PM does not respond.

What action can be taken?

One has to wonder why so long before getting concerned? If I have not had a response in a month, and the PM appears to be inactive, I initiate the unresponsive profile manager thingy.

Well, you have a few different choices. Either you go through the necessary steps for an Unresponsive Profile Manager Request, so that you can get on the trusted list and be able to correct the LNAB. Sometimes a PM will respond to a trusted-list request, while they haven't responded to a comment about the LNAB correction on the profile. If so, that's all you need.

Or you can create a profile with the correct LNAB and initiate a merge. This isn't wrong, since a correction of the LNAB is technically a merge, anyway.

It all depends on the activity level and "responsiveness" of the PM, I'd say.

The manager was last active in July, and before that in February.  With someone this inactive, and no response to my message/email, I would probably create the new profile and propose a merge.  That's a judgement call.

This is not a controversial change.  Stewart is the last name at birth, and the descriptors probably belong in the biography.  I'm assuming the guidelines for European Aristocrats would apply here (completely ignorant about the Stewarts), but "of Auch and Glencrispendale" doesn't belong in last name at birth.  That much is certain.

Good question.  Thank you for asking.

If the current profile manager, is unresponsive, then presumably they may not respond to merge request and that will have to wait for 30 days.

It may be quicker to go down the formal unresponsive manager process.
